The One where Karlee gets her wheels.

Today I am trying to understand how I got from these first two pictures to the ones that follow them. Our last baby girl got her wheels today and she off... toward her own fun and independence. Since she is the baby of the family, she has spent 16 years trying to catch up to her sisters. Well now she can try to do that with a little speed!

I have come to the realization that although I've been through all of these mile stones twice before; it's a little different when a particular event is the last one you will experience as a parent.
So here she is with her big beautiful smile jumping into her truck. She is going to get a sticker that says Silly boys, trucks are for girls! I think I want one too!

Peace out Mom!

I love that it is a big strong vehicle. With the history my girls have with their cars... she will be safe! Dave did an incredible job getting this truck ready for her. It was given to us for an exchange of his labor on some home improvement. He had the motor rebuilt, painted the hood, and did the brakes while I took care of all the DMV paper work. It took some time but well worth the wait.
On Monday morning, I won't be driving a kid to school. Starting Monday morning, I will never need to drive a kid to school again. Sniff...
