The One when Ma gets creative on my birthday!

For my birthday tomorrow, Ma said to be home today to accept a delivery! Thanks Ma! It is delicious! Love you!

The One when Karlee turns sixteen.

When my girls wake up on their birthday, I sing Happy Birthday to them in the worst singing voice one can imagine. Surprisingly, they look forward to it every year. I also occasionally do something corny for breakfast. The number pancakes started with Nicole and Jessica's 18th birthdays.

Another birthday tradition is to choose their favorite dinner for me to cook or go out to dinner. For Karlee's 16th birthday she chose Benihana's. So we got a clan together and had a great time. Yes; Dave was out of town as usual.

If you ask her why she chose Benihana's she will tell you, "They have the best fried rice!"

The One when I start my blog.

Here it is friends; 2010 and I have started my blog... finally! I am looking forward to sharing all the Shak'in that happens in the Lakin house! Life is never dull with 3 daughters well on their way into young adulthood. My girl gang is the bomb and they keep Dave and I on our toes!
